All applications are screened so that your character's offline identity can remain a secret if you want it to be. If you'd prefer to share it with the world, ask us to unscreen it!
Applications submitted during the Interest Check period will be processed within one week of submission. After game start, please allow 48 hours for processing.

Other characters: What other characters do you currently have in the game? Put "N/A" if this doesn't apply to you.
Invited by: If you are a +1, tell us which player invited you and ensure that they comment with their character's journal on your application to confirm the invitation. If you are a current player, put "N/A".
Suitability clause: Characters in The World may be subject to any or all of the following: pain, death, loss of identity, and other traumatic experiences. Please ensure you're choosing a character whom you feel is appropriate for the setting. Note that this does not mean that your blorbo needs to have excellent coping skills.
Canon: If it is an original character, please put "original."
Name: Your character's canonical name.
Age: Your character's canonical age. If they don't have one, please give us your best guess.
Avatar name: This is the name of your character's avatar within Fragment. Names are one word and a maximum of 20 characters, are case sensitive, and consist of only letters and numbers. ICly, your character may name their player character as they please.
Avatar appearance: What does their online avatar look like? Feel free to have their avatar's appearance reflect their canon appearance for convenience's sake. Link us some pics or describe their online look in 100 words or less. Bullet points are also acceptable.
Real world name: This is the AU name you make up for your character's real world, offline counterpart. You may use their canon name
Real world appearance: This is what your character looks like offline. Again, you may have their AU look reflect their canonical appearance or have them look entirely different in reality if you prefer. Show us what they look like or describe their irl appearance in 100 words or less. Bullet points are also acceptable.
Real world age: How old is your character offline? If your character's real world counterpart is a child, we may ask you some follow-up questions with regards to character suitability.
Personality: While The World is an AU game, we ask that you use your character's personality as depicted in canon as the basis for their personality in-game. Do not exceed 300 words.
Three important memories: In lieu of a history section, please describe three key memories that define who your character is as a person. These can be based on canon or entirely made up so long as they provide a basis for your character's personality and behavior. Each memory may be a maximum of 100 words. Do not exceed 300 in total.
Three important items: List three items your character owns that hold a special place in their heart. Provide a brief (50 words or less) description of the item and their significance to your character.
Character class: Take a gander at the class page and decide which would suit your character best. Please list three classes you would like assigned to your character in order of preference and three classes you want to opt out of. Your character's element will be assigned by the mods based on their personality.
