//Root Towns
//Mac Anu

The Root Town for Fragment's Delta Server.

Mac Anu is a large city with canals running through its cobblestone streets and its sky always a mix of yellows and oranges in a perpetual sunset. Players and NPCs alike often take rides on the gondolas that float smoothly along its waters, giving one access to fantastic views and other areas in town. Shops line many of the streets along the canals, making it easy to stock up on whatever healing or strengthening items players may need.

The two main points of interest in Mac Anu are the Chaos Gate in the city's main plaza and the Clock Tower, which stands elegantly on the other side of the city. The hustle and bustle of Mac Anu is prominent around these two areas, especially with all of the shops lined up around them. They're terrific spaces to hang out and people watch, or to try and recruit people for your party... or even your future guild. Mac Anu is spacious enough, however, that there are plenty of other places to mill about with friends—in a gondola, in the many alleyways that the city sports, or even on the bridges that hang over the canal and connect the city.

Mac Anu is the perfect space to take a break from the grind of area exploration, especially as this area does not allow for PVP.

//Lumina Cloth

The Root Town for Fragment's Omega Server.

Much like the name suggests, Lumina Cloth is a city filled with bright lights that fill up the perpetually dark sky, as the city is forever in a state of nightfall. A true city that never sleeps, Lumina Cloth is bustling at all hours, boasting a vibrant nightlife that makes the trip to this city well worth it for many.

Other than its nightlife, there are a few things that make Lumina Cloth unique: its multiple PvP arenas and a bright, lively indoor amusement park named the Lumina Disc. The PvP arenas host semi-regular tournaments with hefty prizes and have a tendency to draw in a big crowd to watch the best of the best duke it out in nail-biting battles. They aren’t just for contests, however! Regular players can participate in the arenas with their friends whenever they’re itching for a battle with someone in particular. The sign-up is quick and easy, and most importantly, free. Lumina Disc, on the other hand, is filled with just about every mini game you could possibly think of from air hockey to pinball. Everyone is welcome to play these games on their own, even if it’s a little depressing. After all, amusement parks are always a lot more fun with friends! If you find yourself without friends, however, at least there's always the casinos. Try your luck there instead!

The city itself is an island of a city, surrounded almost entirely by the water in addition to plenty of large, luxurious water fountains stationed around the city so you don't forget that little fact.

Oh, but don’t forget! PvP is enabled throughout Lumina Cloth. Don’t get too into your game of Street Fighter lest someone takes up that opportunity to PK you!

//Root Town of Unknown Origin

The Root Town for Fragment's Theta Server.

This new Root Town sits high up on the sky, all built on the top of stone spires that loom over the clouds. The air is fresh and clean, especially with the light wind that always seems to blow in the sky high city. Perpetually at the time of day when the sun is the highest, the weather is always sunny, but never too hot thanks to the constant light breeze.

The green, healthy grass atop the spires complements the stone buildings around the Root Town as the two coexist well together. It all feels so natural that it’s easy to forget that these buildings are populated with shops and the resident NPCs. The spires themselves are connected by bridges, even though just from looking at them, it’s easy to tell that they’re not exactly… well-built. In fact, the bridges swing and creak dangerously the moment anyone sets a foot down on one.

Maybe it’s best to avoid them, at least for the time being.

Some spires also have stairs built into them for access to the even higher ground available in the town where stone benches and beautiful natural terraces sit so that players can enjoy both the view that the town provides and the weather. Or, they can simply relax and take it easy.

Not much is known about this Root Town, which surely had a name at one point, but one day a vile wizard in flowing white robes came along and ruthlessly boiled the town's elder to death, the town's history dying with him. Perhaps it is time to make history anew.

This town does not allow for PVP.

//Naval Monte

The Root Town for Fragment's Omega Server.

Naval Monte is a city that has been built upon a mountain that juts up out of the ocean and towers over the water it surrounds. A large wall sits at the base of the mountain, preventing anyone from accidentally falling off the side and into the ocean. The entrance to the city is almost fortress-like, bearing a formidable gate that must be crossed to enter the city. Houses are dotted along the mountainside, huddled closely together around small, winding streets that work their way up to the peak where a large building sits and looms over the rest of the much smaller homes underneath it.

This tiered city boasts all kinds of shops and places to visit, but the most notable aspect of this Root Town are the NPCs. They seem… different. In fact, they don’t follow the typical patterns and dialogue trees that the NPCs in all of the other Root Towns seem to follow. These NPCs can carry on lively, dynamic conversations that no other NPCs thus far have been able to do. Maybe it’s unsettling, or maybe it’s exciting, but either way it’s the one thing that really stands out in this city.

Well, other than the graveyard, that is. Tucked away in one corner of Naval Monte is a graveyard with NPCs standing guard right outside the entrance. They refuse to let players through and into the graveyard, stopping anyone who might try and sneak inside. They’ll at least engage in conversation much like the other NPCs in the city, at least.

Whether it’s through the guard or other NPCs, whispers of a curse that plagues this Root Town can be heard all throughout the city.

This town does not allow for PVP.

//Net Slum

The Net Slum feels as if it both exists and does not exist in Fragment. It is a place where vagrant AI and deleted data have gathered to create their own homes, leading to a bustling city built up entirely by lost vestiges of technology.

It is also Zelkova’s home.

With narrow streets and plenty of AI bustling about, the Net Slum feels like a real city that one can get lost in if they aren’t paying attention to where they’re going. The AI population will even guide players back to the city center so that they don’t get too lost within the depths of this area. The city itself lays on the back of a giant turtle, Tartarga, that soars through the air. You wouldn’t know you were flying, as it feels like you’re on solid ground.

There are a few key points of interest in the Net Slum: an infirmary, a supplies storage, and a meeting place.

What was once an abandoned building has been tidied up and fashioned into an infirmary just in time to receive the wounded. Along the walls, you'll find wooden cabinets stocked with various medical supplies including bandages, stitches, and painkillers. AI nurses make the rounds, attending to the injured and fitting casts and prosthetics onto patients who need them. Crutches and wheelchairs will also be provided.

Warm sunlight filters through the arched windows and potted plants decorate the space, giving the room life. A row of beds partitioned by curtains offer wounded heroes a place to rest and recover. For some reason, one bed comes equipped with straps...is there someone who needs to be lovingly bullied into resting, perhaps? The infirmary also has closed rooms for those who prefer to recuperate in private, and by each bed, extra chairs have been set out for visitors— we know love is the best medicine of all.

Some patients may recognize Ki, the adorable grunty plush. Now relieved of his original duties, Ki sits on a shelf to watch over everyone recover in peace.

For those determined to throw themselves into the fray again, visiting the infirmary for a week will accelerate the healing of broken bones and get you back into shape. Permanent injuries will only heal to the point where it's not life-threatening or infected. You will not get your limb back, but you can ask to be fitted with a cool new prosthetic.

Inside the infirmary, cordoned off by curtains is a small area full of cozy blankets, pillows and arm chairs that are easy to get out of. There's a small coffee table and a shelf full of books from the library, and various board games like chess and shogi. It's clearly designed to keep patients from going too crazy with boredom as they recover, or for visitors to pass the time while the patients rest.

And for some reason there are also some cat plushies...potential comfort items for patients?

The supplies storage is less of a closet, and more of a quaint little shop. The shop front is pleasantly warm and full of light, the air somehow clean and fresh. When you enter, you will see a large oak desk out front, with a tidy pile of books stacked up neatly, along side some papers with a series of numbers of sums that suggest it's accounting work. Next to it is a cute cat plushie. At the desk, you'll be be greeted by either Miharu most days, Aitla the Grunty("Greetings, Friend") or Sinclair as part of their job as Phantom Operatives. There are two (comfy) seats in front if you just want to sit and chat with them, along with an always full pot of tea and snacks.

Zelkova has left behind a large number of supplies Sinclair, Haru and Hani have painstakingly sorted and organized for the coming battles ahead. Each person in Fragment has been accounted for and supplies sorted by priority for those who wish to take part against the Wave, and those who have been severely injured during the battles. Make your request, and you'll gain access to the back storage area , which has been organized in shelves and chests in terms of professions needled to harvest the materials. Meanwhile, for those looking for meat, Monster hunting and Fishing has its own section down in the cellar below.

But the most essential discovery has been the new supply of potions Zelkova has left behind for the battles ahead. As a much needed resource, Miharu may be a little more firm about how many of these supplies can be taken per week.

A weekly dungeon runner can ask for 5 potions to take with them, while those preparing themselves for the Phase battles ahead will be given 10 for each battle they participate in*. Use them wisely because they will run out in due time too.

*that said, if you are a gentle soul, you may be able to appeal to Aitla the Grunty's soft heart and wheedle out an extra potion or two.

The Supplies Storage is available to people every day, except at a certain nebulous time Fragment has agreed is 'time for dinner and sleep'.

Whereas the other buildings have been more or less cohesive in design, the meeting room is a clash of four personalities. The outside leading in is initially dense concrete and dented steel, similar to the rest of the Net Slum as you’d expect. All gray floors leading to a console that’s directly across from the door, with a large screen showing the various states of the Root Towns. There’s a large, rectangular meeting table in front of the screen, and the chairs seem cozy enough. Very professional and clean!

Until you look at the rest of the room.

The flooring and walls shift from steel to wood and stone, with plush rugs and potted greenery scattered about. In the very center of the room is… a meeting of mismatched chairs. All of them comfy and cozy, in varying shapes and colors as though the crafters could not make up their mind and went with all of them, all the chairs. Why not?

For those more antisocial friends: there are a couple seats to the side and some solo play time nooks. One in particular looks very inviting; it’s next to a wall of books! So many! But they are all about dogs for whatever reason… and you realize... it’s just the same book with different colored covers for variety.

The cozy vibes don’t end there. You may hang out by the forever-burning fireplace that’s next to the meeting of chairs. And, naturally, a snack corner awaits any hungry Fragment citizen, stocked with a little bit of everything.

When you’re alone, gaze out at the windows overlooking the Net Slum. Or visit the landing through a door by the console and discover a surprise: this sanctuary is carried on the back of a flying turtle.

//Areas
//Volcanic Wasteland
Element: Fire

Exposed geothermal lava covers the Volcanic Wastelands as far as the eye can see. Heat drifts up from the ground to create a light haze that permeates the whole area, creating an almost dizzying effect when one tries to push forward. With heat that makes one’s eyes water, finding shelter quickly is imperative—it's just a shame that shelter is quite hard to come by in these areas.

//Snowy Tundra
Element: Water

The night sky is lit up with a smattering of stars, bright and easily visible as the only source of light around is the brightness of the snow on the ground. Piled high and packed tightly, the crunch of the snow is the only thing that interrupts the silence of the Snowy Tundra. On the rare occasion and with the right timing, you may spot northern lights high up in the sky, the greens and reds and purples dancing across the dark, open space.

//Rocky Desert
Element: Earth

What may have once been a bright, vibrant ecosystem is instead a vast area of lifeless, rocky terrain covered in dust. The dust and dirt expands as far as the eye can see over this lusterless desert. Should you find yourself lucky, you might stumble upon the ruins of an old city, or even the odd house that has been partially claimed by the dust that occasionally sweeps through the area.

//Grassy Meadow
Element: Wood

This open, hilly grassland is filled with flowers and their pollinators, often seen flitting about. While there may be life here, these Grassy Meadows have long since been reclaimed by nature, evident by the abandoned windmills and the occasional vine-covered home taking up residence in these vast fields.

//Murky Forest
Element: Darkness

When curses take over, they destroy all in their path and the Murky Forests are no exception. A red earth desert left only with decaying life as a reminder of what once was, the stench of death permeates everything in this area. No longer are brilliant trees and diverse life present here, as the flora and fauna has all but shriveled up in the wake of the curse that has taken over this land.

//Stormstruck Plain
Element: Thunder

These plains are fresh and quite pleasant... if it weren't for that pesky, never-ending thunderstorm. Subjected to impossibly frequent rainstorms, the grass here is lush and healthy, to the point that it's overgrown in some areas. Lightning strikes the plains often and without warning, lighting up the entire area and even singeing the grass surrounding the strike. Be careful that you don't get caught up in those strikes lest you find yourself burned too. And, of course, be wary of the puddles that are much, much deeper than they appear to be.

//Dungeons
//Stone Wall

A traditional dungeon, deep underground. Much of the stone is covered in overgrown vines, and it grows cooler the further you go down. In fact, it begins to grow downright chilly... and do you feel like someone is watching you?

//Castle Wall

The inside of an abandoned castle, treasure ready for the taking. Luckily enough, most of the treasure in this castle still seems to be in tact and undisturbed by any potential thieves. Unfortunately, monsters have taken up residence here as well, and they aren't ready for you to get what they consider their treasure.

//Flesh Wall

A cursed city, forever left with walls made of the flesh of a long-since lost creature of yore. Be careful where you step here, lest you end up with a sticky shoe. While the fleshy dungeon walls make this an unpleasant experience, surely the treasure is worth it.

//Shrine

An old shrine, abandoned and with secrets deep within its depths. The further you go into the shrine, the quieter the air around you grows, up until it's completely and eerily still. Or, perhaps, it might be calm. Whatever it may be to you, you're closer to your prize.

//Tower

A tower with treasure deep within its depths. How many floors there are in this tower are unknown, but each floor feels like an adventure of its own, only growing more taxing the deeper you search within its walls.

//Forest

A maze created to hide the secrets of the forest, intent on misdirecting adventurers and trapping them within its depths. With beautiful greenery surrounding you and the chirps of birds just on the other side of the maze... perhaps it wouldn't be so bad to be trapped here after all.

//Special Areas
//Hülle Granz Cathedral

Located on a small island surrounded by a thick veil of mist stands a towering cathedral, named the Hülle Granz Cathedral, meaning “The Cathedral Which Hides Heaven”. It is said that the island surrounding the cathedral was once filled with water, even though all that is left now is that heavy mist that obscures anything but the cathedral from view. The Cathedral has been witness to many historical events throughout its long history, including humanity’s last stand against the ■■■■■■ ■■■■.

Ancient yet well-polished, the Cathedral is a quiet place for remembrance and reflection, the numerous perpetually empty pews welcoming any world-weary traveler to take a seat and reminisce. A broken statue, crushed by an unnatural force previously lay in front of the altar, a mere whisper of the goddess statue that once stood solemnly in that spot. Those pieces of the broken statue have since mysteriously vanished, almost as if they were never there in the first place.

//Morrigu Barrow Wall

Located high up on in the mountains with mist blocking one’s view of the ground far down below is a patch of greenery in front of a large, intimidating stone wall. History has eroded away at the earth around the wall, leaving only small pieces of land that lay in front before dropping off into a yawning gorge heavy with mist. There are ruins, possibly remnants of some sort of monument, that remain sitting near the wall filled to the very corners with old, faded words that are impossible to read now. Despite the ancient history surrounding the site, the grass is soft to the touch and the air is crisp and almost refreshing.

Yet, there is a sense of unease that seems to originate from beyond that imposing wall. Legend has it that the wall keeps humans away from the burial grounds of the gods just beyond it, but that doesn’t explain the strange sound that seems to come from the other side. Get too close to the wall and linger for too long and that high, ringing sound will cause a migraine that lasts for several days, even after logging out.

//Dead World of Indieglut Lugh

Deep underground lies Indieglut Lugh, said to have been the entrance to the Underworld, which sat undisturbed for thousands of years before it was the site of a rebellion against the gods. The air is cool and damp, stalactites and stalagmites decorating the small shoreline of an underground lake. The lake sits almost eerily still, the crystalline water allowing one to see deep down to the seemingly endless bottom, which leads into a pitch black.

In the middle of the lake sits a large white tree, its leaves glowing an ethereal pale blue that sticks out in the dim cave. The opening up right above the tree seems to shine an almost otherworldly light on it that serves to complement the almost unreal-like quality of the tree. Its roots spread out in the water and eventually turn down before disappearing into the abyss below.

Despite being the supposed entrance to the Underworld, the lake possesses a cool, quiet atmosphere that makes one want to stay, possibly forever.

//The Aerial Fleet

Soaring through the sky is a convoy of flying vessels that is said to be guarding a giant as the fleet sails through the skies. Thousands of years ago, a mysterious accident cursed the convoy and its giant to wander the skies forever.

Anyone who dares to attempt to slip past the guards of this fleet will find themselves on the deck of the airship, flanked by bloodstained mummies designed to repel anyone who dares to try to enter the ship itself. They watch menacingly as you enter the dungeon, seemingly ready to attack should you manage to emerge from the dungeon intact.

//Six Ringing Peaks of Al Fadel

Known for being the highest point to exist in the world of Fragment, Al Fadel has all sorts of legends surrounding both its origins and the magic that emits from the ancient mountains themselves. A series of six incredibly high peaks, each of the mountains are incredibly difficult to climb and require years of training just to even begin the ascent. Many have, however, as evidenced by the castles and other ruins that adorn the tops of these strange mountains. It’s hard to discern what the purpose of these ruins was back when they were built, but the highest peak boasts what was once a castle, now turned on its side as parts of it have begun to crumble and slide to the flatland of the peak.

While quite a few adventurers have made their way up the other peaks, the tallest one remains the most difficult to conquer. Those lucky few who manage it, however, are said to gain a truth about the world. What that truth is, no one knows as no adventurer has ever been able to put it into words. Despite the difficulty of ascent, those who warp into this area will find themselves on the top of that peak, able to look down at the clouds below. Perhaps the mystery of the world lies there.

The castle itself is inaccessible, so all you are able to do is look down and contemplate what might be beyond the clouds below you.

The keywords to this area are ΘHidden Forbidden Virgin Peaks.

//Arche Koeln Waterfall

With sheets of water cascading over the entire stretch of a temple, the Arche Koeln Waterfall evokes a sense of mystery from everyone who visits. The waterfall is said to lay in the Land of the Beginning of Beginnings, with an entrance deep in the temple located behind the waterfall that leads to the End of Land. What this means, no one knows, the legend so old that no one alive today is able to corroborate it. The water is difficult to get through, rushing forth over the rockface that the temple is built into, making it an effective barrier to keep unwanted visitors out.

The stone bridge that leads to the waterfall and the temple behind it has partly crumbled, leaving the waterfall itself almost completely inaccessible, unless someone wants to brave the water. Ruins lay in the water where the bridge once stood in full, adding an air of wistfulness to the area as the temple remains a remnant of a time long gone, long since dilapidated and falling to ruin due to the lack of visitors brave enough to run through the watery barrier.

No matter what you try, you cannot get over to the temple in the rockface, as an invisible barrier prevents you from leaving that section of the bridge that you find yourself on.

//Wailing Capital Wald Uberlisterin

The Wailing Capital is the land that exists below Indieglut Lugh, and where the god of death themself resides. The castle itself is attached to a platform that hangs upside down in the air, leaving everything suspended on the wrong side up. Sheets of water cascade down in specific points of the platform, raining down into the murky clouds below.

The castle itself is slowly falling apart, being beaten by the wind that blows mercilessly throughout the Area. But all you can do as the castle slowly but surely falls apart is watch, for the platform connecting where you are to the castle has partially fallen, the stones that do remain crumbling and unsteady.

The accessible area seems like the outside of a fortress, the imposing walls standing high behind where you warped in. There is no entrance to the inside of the fortress, but a foreboding feeling coming from beyond persists anyway.

The keywords to this area are ΘHidden Forbidden Hades.

//Briona Gwydion the Dragonbein Range

The Dragonbein Range is an area that has been carved out of the bones of a dragon that has long since passed. The area itself drops players along a stone walkway that looks like it served as a military keep, high up in the mountains and marked by various checkpoints. With time wearing everything away, it’s impossible to tell if these were once military checkpoints of some sort or if they were simply for supplies and rest. Below, the air is thick with mist, making it impossible to see the ground.

Long pointed bones decorate the stone path through the mountains, serving as a reminder of its supposed origins. In various spots, the bones have been chipped at or cracked away, either by battle or by age.

The checkpoints themselves are closed and inaccessible, but they can be climbed on or leaned upon without any incident. Atop one of the checkpoints, an old stone dragon sits, looking out at the scenery before it. If it ever feels like it’s watching you… try not to think about it too much. It’s made of stone, after all.

The keywords to this area are ΘHidden Forbidden Dragonbein.

//Sugar Mansion Sif Berg

Sif Berg is a mansion that resides on a pit of lava, the hot, orange substance permeating and flowing alongside the walls of the mansion that are visible off in the distance. It is said that three goddesses with the power to control desire reside in the mansion. Players gate in on a stone entryway, of which the path to the mansion has ruptured. It’s impossible to tell if this is due to age or by the lava, but as the rest of the building is fine… it was definitely not the lava.

In front of the doors to the mansion stands a large, imposing statue. It looks as if the statue is guarding the door, preventing anyone from even going inside, moat of lava aside. After all, plenty of brave adventurers have dared to get past the lava over the years. However, it's impossible to know if they've managed to get past that statue, as no one has ever returned to tell the tale of what is inside that mansion.

The air is thick and hot, the entire area coated in the orange-red hue that reflects off of the lava. Little orbs flitter about, as if spiritual remnants of a long lost past. All one can do is stand near the path, hoping that one day the door might open.

//Coite-Bodher Battlefield

Coite-Bodher is the site where the final battle between humans and the dragon belonging to the gods, Mag Mell, occurred. The dragon was so powerful, however, that humans were unable to defeat it in direct combat. So, they resort to a trap, luring Mag Mell to the altar at Coite-Bodher and activating a spell that would turn him to stone. As he turned, the final scream he let out resulted in the once beautiful field melting away to a deserted wasteland as dark clouds immediately congregated in the sky, never having left since.

Off the shore of a large lake, all that stands of the field now are ruins of what was once a magnificent castle, now languishing away as it has turned to dirty and crumbling stone. The area comes with a prevailing sense of loneliness and loss, a feeling of time at a standstill as one looks out at the ruins. Near the lake’s edge is a large altar, surrounded by five pillars with a clearing in the center, where the target of whatever activates the ruins might stand. In the sky above the ruins is a large dragon, perpetually watching over the grounds through eyes turned to stone.

//Wanderhalle Library

With the efforts of several diligent players, the once incredibly dusty and mildewy library now boasts old, but incredibly clean, shelves and tables. There are plenty of spots to sit and read, or even chat with fellow players so long as you do so quietly. While the labyrinthine shape of the rows remains unchanged, the small number of books that survived the cleaning are now sorted and organized, leaving plenty of empty shelves practically quivering in anticipation of being filled... with books, of course.

This old library has certainly seen better days even now, but you can see plenty of spots where it used to shine in its heyday. Now that the space can be used as a spot for study or even relaxation, you'll see that the library has aged gracefully, the shelves and tables worn down with use and love rather than neglect.

Players will no longer recover their HP and SP in this area. Even so, it’s still a great spot for people who are still new to games like this to simply practice, or for more experienced players to try out new combos and new abilities they have learned.

PvP is enabled in this area, but only in one specific spot slightly away from all of the training equipment and with plenty of room for fights. Much like the rest of the training grounds, HP and SP will not be restored during PvP battles, so stock up on items if you plan on battling.

Anyone who trains here will feel invigorated and it will feel like they can move just a little bit faster for the next few hours.

Do you wish you could hang out at the mall without having to deal with real, live people? Well, it’s your lucky day! The Treffpunkte Mall is just like all the other malls in the 2000s--a veritable maze of stores, random fountains and plants, a space where people can entertain their kids with a random bungee station or a train that goes around the mall, and a large food court. The food court boasts all kinds of fast food and while it never tastes as good as you want it to, you at least feel satiated.

There are also a variety of stores in the mall too, with a hair salon, a small shop where you can paint little figurines however you like, and an arcade with many outdated video games are the most notable. Of course, your typical stores like Bot Topic, Spancer’s, and Glare’s have all the punk, edgy, and cute accessories you could ever want to decorate your avatar with are also here. Too bad none of these accessories give you better stats. Maybe the next recreational area will.

Spending time with someone else at the mall will make you feel like you’ve grown closer, like a real, true friendship is forming.

//Katzen und Hunde Park and Cafe

Atop a large, green hill is a park with benches, flowers, gazebos and… dogs! Players can take the dogs that they won to this park or they can play with the dogs that live there already. Dogs of all breeds happily roam the park and are eager to play fetch or even sit out in the sun on top of a picnic blanket. With plenty of food and water stations, all dogs in this little park are happy campers.

Next to the park is a quaint little cafe with all sorts of coffee and baked goods on offer. There is a bigger draw to the cafe than just the food, however. This cafe boasts plenty of sweet, affectionate cats that all guests can play or cuddle with. Beware of the few that have a real attitude, though!

Spending time in this area will leave one in an extremely good mood, their spirits easily lifted.

//Filmabend Theater

With only three screens, the Filmabend Theater is a small one, but that doesn’t detract from the lovely, fun interior of the building itself. Set like one’s own hometown theater, the entrance is rather small with a tiny snack counter that anyone can help themselves to. Popcorn, boxed candy, and all the soda you could ever want is available at your fingertips, should you be brave enough to butter your own popcorn.

The individual theaters themselves are small, only big enough to accommodate the entire group of beta testers fitting into one movie screening. The screens themselves are big enough to make up for the small size of the rooms, and the speaker system advanced enough to be worth the trip to see a film.

Much like the theater, however, the list of available movies is also rather small, given that the list is curated by Hien himself. If you’re nice enough when you ask, maybe he’ll add a movie for you. Good luck.

//Area Exploration
//What is it?

Area Exploration is our dungeon crawling mechanic. Through Area Exploration, you'll earn weapons, armor, special items and more. Areas are randomly generated from a series of three keywords. No two adventures are the same!

Formally, Area Exploration can be done for items and rewards once per calendar week, but ICly, there are no limits on how often your character can go on a dungeon run.

//How does it work?

Area Generation is a choose your own adventure-style mechanic that utilizes a keyword randomizer to generate a unique Area based on the three selected keywords. Using the same three keywords will always take you back to the same Area, but every combination of keywords will result in a different Area. Some may be similar, but no two are identical. As for the rest, you'll have to discover that for yourself.

If you find something cool, consider sharing your findings on the official forums.

//What can I earn through Area exploration?

Participating in Area Exploration once a week will earn you the following:

  • One weapon
  • One piece of armor
  • A unique item, special effect, or other bonus.

    Hitting a level milestone (25, 50, 75, and 100), adds a multiplier to your rewards, doubling your items earned with each milestone achieved.

  • Level 1~24: No multiplier
  • Level 25~49: Two weapons and two pieces of armor.
  • Level 50~74: Three weapons and three pieces of armor.
  • Level 75~100: Four weapons and four pieces of armor.

    Finally, if you choose to play out the results of your adventure, link us the results for a special reward. .
  • //Let's get rolling

  • Step one: Grab some keywords from the randomizer. Order matters, so don't rearrange the words! You can also input words you've learned from other players, the forums, etc.
  • Fill out the form below.
  • ???
  • Profit.
  • //Limitations

    Some keyword combinations are off limits, so if you roll an invalid set of keywords, you'll be slapped with an error and asked to roll again. Hint: if this happens to you, post about it on the forums. Who knows? Maybe you'll get the answers you're looking for.

    Multipliers scale individually. If you're level 50 and your ally is level 100, you will get two times the rewards while they get four times the rewards.

    The once per calendar week limitation on rewards counts for each member of the party. If one of your party members has already earned rewards this week, they can still participate in the run, but they won't earn additional rewards.

    Dungeon completions can only be submitted for rewards twice a month. Characters currently in Special Area Explorations from rewards may not submit another dungeon completion until their current Special Area Exploration has completed. This limit applies to everyone in the Special Area Exploration.

    A party consists of a minimum of one player and a maximum of four. Duos and trios are also welcome to run together.

    //Moon Tree

    Leader: Zelkova

    Mission statement: A guild dedicated to peace and harmony within Fragment. Let's all have fun together!

    Recruitment: Public. Anyone who is here to make friends is welcome.

    Moon Tree, is a guild that welcomes players who want to have a peaceful experience within Fragment, free of any PKers or those who might sabotage their in-game experience. A great place to make friends, Moon Tree prizes itself on having a relaxed atmosphere. The interior of the @home heavily resembles the interior of a Japanese palace, with the windows looking outside only ever showing nightfall.

    Moon Tree is assisted by Melo Grunty, a calm and peaceful grunty that loves to daydream about food and listen to stories. His personal motto is "mellow"!

    Recently, a jukebox has been added to the guild, playing music from the late UTA. She might be gone, but she will not be forgotten.

    //Telophoroi

    Leader: fandaniel

    Mission statement: A gathering of like-minded individuals seeking a very particular sort of fun. We, the Telophoroi, do not seek only the treasures of the deep, dark dungeons, nor simply the camaraderie of one other, but the thrill of the hunt! The rattling of bars! The unbridled chaos of no rule left unbroken! If any and all of this piques your interest, dare seek us out, we'll be waiting~.

    Recruitment: Private. Speak to a member to join.

    Telophoroi is a guild for troublemakers, griefers, PKers, and anyone who falls on the edges of what's considered widely acceptable MMO etiquette. It's more an alliance than a group of friends and there are no rules, none whatsoever. Not even the guild's leader expects any of the members to specifically listen to him. Such is life! The interior of their @ home looks like an ominous tower on the outside and... an ominous tower on the inside, too! It has a nearly alien-like dungeon look going on as far as decor goes.

    Telophori is assisted by Cultist Grunty, an odd little grunty that might not even have eyes. You'll never see them. Friendly enough to still be useful, it's quite strange, often making spooky sounds and trying to act as ominously as possible. It ends all of its sentences with "heheheh~".

    //Bookwyrms

    Leader: Brambles

    Mission statement: Calling all Bookwyrms! Our Guild is a gathering of players who love books, literature, reading and strategy. All genres of text are celebrated here! Please be mindful of spoilers when discussing popular titles.

    Recruitment: Public. The more the merrier!

    The Bookwyrms are players from all walks of life who are passionate about reading! In our guild, we value fairness, kindness and equity. Players are welcome to use our space to discuss favourite book titles along with battle strategy and techniques in relevance to the game. The interior of the guild's home has a comfortable library feel - it has wooden floors and walls, bookshelves and comfortable sofas and chairs to read on.

    Bookwyrms is assisted by Scholar Grunty, a kind and intelligent grunty who will stop at nothing to help those who may require assistance! He ends all of his sentences with "indeed!"

    //Glamour

    Leader: KaraBear

    Mission statement: Wanna fight and look great doing it? Glamour's the place to be! Find people to party up with, who also happen to want the best-looking armor out there. Socializing is also encouraged, but we welcome all kinds of players who just wanna look good!

    Recruitment: Public

    Glamour is a guild for those who are into aesthetics and looking your best. While we are all for sharing tips and tricks on how to accessorize, we also don't encourage cattiness or passing excessive judgment onto our fellow members. Everyone's got a different idea of what looks good, let's welcome them all with open arms! The interior of the guild home has a very classy feel to it, with mannequins for people to showcase their favorite looks (that they aren't actively wearing). There's also a large lounge area where members can socialize and get to know each other.

    Glamour is assisted by Cute Grunty, a bubbly grunty that likes being around people! It's around to assist any members who might have a hard time acclimating to the guild, and tries to be at its best 24/7. It ends all of its sentences with "friend!"

    //Fine Wine

    Leader: Fai

    Mission statement: Providing an important service, this guild is a place for the older folks of the beta test to relax and have a drink!

    Recruitment: Private. Due to the guild's age restrictions, invites can only be sent by members.

    Fine Wine is a guild meant for those older than 25 and provides a space for the older folks in the beta test to have a place to converse and—you guessed it—drink. The guild @home interior is a mix between a cafe and a jazz club. There are couches and plenty of places to sit so that you can converse while having a drink, of which there seems to be plenty available at the bar that serves both coffee and all kinds of alcoholic drinks. It's the perfect atmosphere to relax either alone or with company.

    Fine Wine is assisted by the Magic Grunty, a blue-eyed, blond-haired grunty with a perpetual cat-like smile wearing an oversized white coat - he's a cheerful grunty that enjoys lovingly teasing guild members. Despite his teasing nature, he's always accommodating and friendly, if a bit lazy. He ends all of his sentences with "hyuu~".

    //Good Luck Have Fun

    Leader: tabibito

    Mission statement: Hello, my friend. Nobody is perfect, let's make things better.

    Recruitment: Private. Ask Hani for Invite.

    Good Luck Have Fun is a welcoming place for digital friends of the non-human (real) or NPC variety (fake, ok). There is no judgement here, only discounts. Reliable. Plus 20% Bonus !!! Safe and legal. Fast delivery.

    GLHF is assisted by Cute Grunty, a care-free and sincere grunty that loves food and is only here to live its life. It ends all of its sentences with "nyaa~".

    If you need help, please contact the head admin or call 911.

    //The Epicurians

    Leader: Faunus

    Mission statement: Fellow seekers of pleasure, gather together and explore what Fragment has to offer for us! Using our five senses, we will push this MMORPG to its limits in search of the ultimate high.

    Recruitment: Public

    The Epicurians is a guild comprised of those braving The World in search of new experiences, these bold players explore Fragment's various areas and systems to maximize their enjoyment, then share their results with their peers. What this ultimately means is up to the individual guild member, but needless to say, they're all having a good time!

    Contained inside a large colosseum-shaped building, the Epicurians HQ houses a huge lobby filled with comfortable couches and a single long table piled high with all kinds of food and drink for members to enjoy. Off to the sides are hallways leading to several private bedrooms, some even with PVP enabled! There's also other facilities including a gym, baths, and a sauna.

    The Epicurians are assisted by Emperor Grunty, a particularly rotund grunty with purple fur always spotted in a toga and laurel crown. Perpetually tired and lazy, it likes to let others do all the dirty work. It ends all of its sentences with "umu~"

    //Fandom Foodies

    Leader: L3V147H4N

    Mission statement: A sanctuary for otakus and food aficionados of The World to unite!

    Recruitment: A sanctuary for otakus and food aficionados of The World to unite!

    Fandom Foodies is a guild for fans of animanga, games, Japanese culture, and food from all of the above are welcome to join and freely discuss their passions. There is also a weekly challenge to recreate fan-favorite fictional meals IRL! L3V147H4N had originally intended this to be a purely fandom-related guild, but it has since gained a more flavorful flair thanks to the input of his vice leader Mr_Misteaks. After all, have you seen how good the food in anime looks?

    Fandom Foodies's @ home is bright and colorful with plenty of lounging space for meet-ups. It's also fully stocked with snacks 24/7!

    Fandom Foodies is assisted by Otaku Grunty, a grunty with violet and orange fur wearing a magical girl costume. It's a bit shy and anxious, but always eager to help even it may trip over itself in the process! It ends all of its sentences with "kyun~!"

    //Phantom Operatives

    Leader: Arsène

    Mission statement: Embodying the spirit of justice and selflessness, we are the Phantom Operatives. We work anonymously to aid players in need, spread acts of kindness, and unmask Fragment's mysteries. We welcome like-minded individuals to join our cause!

    Recruitment: Word of mouth through existing guild members.

    Phantom Operatives is a guild of undercover heroes working to make Fragment a better place! How each guild member wants to do good is up to the individual, but they must have honest intentions and seek no reward for their service. At first glance, the guild home resembles a nondescript, café-like space for coffee lovers to assemble, but a door in the back reveals a jazzy secret hideout to lounge and plan activities in.

    The Phantom Operatives are assisted by Masked Grunty, a level-headed and dedicated grunty there to guide guild members. It's occasionally bossy, and will remind guild members to take breaks and sleep.

    //Guild Name

    Leader: Owen

    Mission statement: I just want a place to practice, leave me alone.

    Recruitment: Public

    Guild Name is rather sparsely decorated, which is to say it isn't decorated at all. Everything within the @home is there for a purpose, and the purpose is readily apparent as you explore the multiple, soundproofed rooms. You can find just about any musical instrument within the hall, as well as mirrored rooms fitted with barres and stereo systems.

    Guild name is assisted by Sweets Grunty, a smaller then usual grunty with heterochromia that's always wearing a white cloak with a purple lining. It's rather quiet and shy, seemingly always nervous to disobey, except for the occasions where it's blunt and doesn't think before speaking. It ends all of its sentences with "wan..."

    //Dragon's Watch

    Leader: Hector

    Mission statement: We're watching out for the twilight dragon. Lol

    Recruitment: Public

    There's weird stuff going on in this game, so why not put the people most keen on throwing themselves into the glitches in one place (so they can look out for one another, obviously)? Dragon's Watch is here to watch out for whatever glitch-spewing dragons might suddenly descend upon Fragment, so that the playerbase is ready and can fight back in an organized fashion... Or maybe it's just a guild centered around area exploration, documentation, and adventuring in general. But the dragon is top priority.

    The @home is akin to a medieval tavern, complete with drinks of all kind, plenty of sitting space, and a cozy fireplace, befitting the fantasy theme.

    The Dragon's Watch is assisted by Commander Grunty, a nosy, bossy grunty dressed in fine, white and blue clothing befitting of nobility, complete with a little golden crown. It doesn't hesitate to speak up when it's been angered, and is always leading the way - but it does enjoy a good head pat, too.

    //WINKs The Official Winter Fanclub

    Leader: tabibito

    Mission statement: To celebrate the Wonderful, Inspiring, and Kind soul that is Winter-kun!

    Recruitment: Public

    I just love Winter-kun, and I hope you do, too. I welcome everyone into our guild as Winter-kun welcomes everyone into his heart. The guild @ home is designed in a cozy, gothic x luxury style lounge reminiscent of Winter-kun's hugs. This time, there are toilets and baths available.

    WINKs is assisted by Spring Grunty, who... oddly looks and acts the same as Cutie Grunty from GLHF? It ends all of its sentences with "wan~".

    //Solar Eclipse

    Leader: Swallow

    Mission statement: A gathering place. If you know, you know.

    Recruitment: Private

    The guild hall features a conference table with seating and a digital board that can be used as a whiteboard and save multiple screens of notes to tab through. To the side in its own section of the room is a cozy set of couches, small tables, and chairs for more relaxed hangouts. Near the relaxing area is a counter, dividing the main room from the small but serviceable kitchen. Shared item storage and private rooms are available, but basic. While the windows cycle through day and night according to game time, the nights are always filled with a shining full moon.

    Solar Eclipse is assisted by Black Cat Grunty, a dark-furred grunty always seen wearing a hat that seems to have cat hears. She prefers to keep to the background, but when she speaks up she's bossy and snarky.
